GEARING UP FOR FALL
Fall is definitely my favorite season of the year. There’s something to be said about the leaves turning colors, the air getting crisper and the smell of warm spices floating around. It’s rather indescribable to me. It just feels like magic. Washington state is where I grew up and I feel so lucky that I get to be home during this time of year. Recently, Benjamin and I took a trip to Fall City to get in the holiday spirit. Tis the season for pumpkins, so pumpkin patch picking is what we did.
We may have gone a bit overboard with the pumpkins but getting out of the city and being in nature was what I needed. The weather couldn’t of been more perfect for the occasion. Cool and crisp with a cup of hot apple cider in our hands. We chose this farm based on the size and its community value. During this time of year, farms and pumpkin patches tend to be overcrowded and that’s something we wanted to try and avoid (not always possible). We had a blast and are completely ready to carve our pumpkins, bake some seeds, and let the festivities (and recipes) begin.
